El Centro has facilitated this event for the learning and retention of Chican@ Latin@ students for over twenty years! Our purpose is to introduce and connect students to a variety of Chican@ Latin@ organizations and community, on and off campus. Our goal is to provide students access to resources that improve their academic and social life. Expose students to volunteer and internship opportunities on and off campus. An important aspect of this event is networking. We hope for students to meet other students, learn more about cultural events and activities, and find out more about the Santa Cruz community. Meet people who might become future classmates, friends and most importantly who can provide academic support. Our goal is to provide a fun, interactive, inclusive and welcoming experience. Through this event we introduce El Centro: Chicano Latino Resource Center as an important campus resource for students.
